Kuala Nerus, 11 August 2025 – A total of 147 Form 1 students from Bukit Guntung National Secondary School participated in the Prayer Smart Camp which took place on 11 August 2025 at the school.
This program focuses on strengthening the understanding and appreciation of prayer among teenagers. Among the main contents are Group Training (LDK) on recitation in prayer, practicing ablution, and practicing prayer, guided by experienced facilitators from among the staff of the Sultan Mahmud Islamic Center (PISM) UMT and lecturers from the Basic and Advanced Education Center (PPAL), UMT.
The camp not only helps students understand the pillars of prayer more clearly, but also gives them the opportunity to practice the recitation and movements of prayer correctly. It also emphasizes the importance of appreciating prayer as the heart of a Muslim’s life.
According to the guidance teacher, prayer is not just an obligation, but also the main pillar in forming noble character and self-discipline.
It is hoped that this camp can be a starting point for students to practice prayer perfectly, thus producing a knowledgeable generation that is balanced spiritually and physically.
