Kuala Nerus, 21 August 2025 – The Sultan Mahmud Islamic Centre UMT continues to demonstrate excellence when three of its officers received prestigious recognition at the UMT 2025 Annual Awards Ceremony held at the Sultan Mizan Hall, UMT.
This ceremony is an annual event organized by the university to celebrate employees who demonstrate outstanding performance, high dedication and loyalty in service. This recognition is a testament to the university’s appreciation for the efforts and contributions of its staff in driving organizational excellence.
Among the recipients from PISM were:
• Ustaz Ahmad Mustaffa bin Mohamad, Administrative Officer (Islamic Affairs)
Received two awards on the night, namely the Talent Achievement Award and the Outstanding Service Award. The Talent Achievement Award is given to university staff who stand out with exceptional leadership, potential, and talent, while the Outstanding Service Award recognizes officers who consistently achieve high work performance.
• Encik Abdul Rahim bin Hj Uzip @ Othman, Assistant Administrative Officer (Senior)
Recognized through the Outstanding Service Award as a result of his continued commitment in carrying out his duties with full integrity and responsibility.
• Ustaz Mohd Syafiq bin Alias, Assistant Islamic Affairs Officer
Received the Setia Bakti Award which is given to staff who demonstrate loyalty, perseverance, and long-term contributions to the university.
This success not only elevates the names of the recipients, but also demonstrates PISM’s commitment in supporting the university’s aspirations as an excellent knowledge institution.
With this recognition, PISM is confident that it will continue to produce employees who are dedicated and committed to making meaningful contributions to UMT and society.
