Kuala Nerus, 5 October 2025 – Sultan Mahmud Islamic Centre (PISM), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) hosted the Meeting of Directors of Islamic Centres of Malaysian Institutions of Higher Learning (IPT) which took place at the Al-Quran Studio, PISM UMT.
This meeting was held under the auspices of the Malaysian Higher Education Institutions Islamic Affairs Committee (JAHEIS) and brought together directors and representatives of Islamic Centers of public and private universities nationwide. The discussion focused on the direction of Islamic management on campus, strengthening the character of students, as well as strategies to strengthen the da’wah network and cooperation between higher education institutions.
Also held at this meeting was the presentation of JAHEIS activity reports for the current year, including collaborative initiatives and joint action plans in strengthening the Islamic agenda at the higher education level.
This program was also enriched with strategic sharing sessions and roundtable discussions between directors of IPT Islamic centers, with the hope of creating stronger synergies in strengthening the da’wah ecosystem and spiritual development of students throughout Malaysian IPTs.
PISM UMT as the host expressed its appreciation for the presence of all delegates and hoped that this meeting would be a catalyst for efforts to strengthen the network of Islamic centers in building a campus of mercy and compassion.
