“Gaza Cries Again” Refreshes Global Awareness at the 10th PISM-UMT Distinguished Public Lecture

KUALA NERUS, 24 October 2025 – The Sultan Mahmud Islamic Centre (PISM) of Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) in collaboration with the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office and the Language and Literature Council (DBP) organized the 10th PISM-UMT Distinguished Public Lecture at the UMT Mosque with the title “Gaza Cries Again.”



This program features Fadhilatul Sheikh Dr. Hammam Abdulraheem Said Melhem, a prominent hadith scholar from Jordan and the Chairman of Global Al-Quds International, who shares his views on the humanitarian issue of Palestine and the global responsibilities of Muslims.

The lecture was translated by Ustaz Mohd Kamal Nazmi Hj. Kamaruddin, Director of YADIM Terengganu, to ensure that the message and teachings could be fully understood by the attendees.

UMT Vice Chancellor, Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohd Zamri bin Ibrahim, in his welcoming speech, expressed his gratitude for the presence of the international figure, while emphasizing that the PISM-UMT Distinguished Public Lecture series serves as a platform for universal knowledge and awareness.

Among the international figures who have been invited previously include Prof. Dr. Muhammad Quraish Shihab (Indonesia), Datuk Dr. Annabel Gallop (London) and Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Nuaina (Egypt).
