UMT Convocation Site, 27 October 2025 – The annual Rose Night program organized by the Sultan Mahmud Islamic Center of UMT was held with full appreciation and a spirit of solidarity towards the struggle of the Palestinian people. This program is one of the main contents of the UMT 2025 Convocation Festival which is always eagerly awaited every year.
The UMT 2025 Rose Night program featured a special guest, Prof. Dr. Mohd Afandi Salleh, one of the participants of the Freedom Flotilla Mission to Gaza, who shared his experiences and sacrifices while participating in the international humanitarian mission. His sharing touched the hearts of the attendees with the story of the courage and struggle of the Palestinian people against oppression.
The ceremony was also graced with a Palestine solidarity march from the Sultan Mahmud Islamic Centre UMT to the UMT Convocation Festival Site, joined by university staff and the local community. This march became a symbol of support and unity of UMT staff towards the struggle of the Palestinian people.
Among the interesting highlights of the night was the Islamic art performance by the Ilhaam Voices group, who performed songs of preaching and divinity full of appreciation, creating a solemn and soul-touching atmosphere.
Organizing the 2025 Rose Night is not just an annual event, but a platform to foster humanitarian awareness, foster the spirit of ummah brotherhood, and express moral support for Palestine among UMT residents and the surrounding community.
