Workshop on Understanding & Application of AI in Delivering Community Education & Da’wah Messages
The Terengganu State IKRAM Organization in collaboration with the Sultan Mahmud Islamic Center (PISM), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu organized a Workshop on Understanding and Applying AI in Delivering Community Education and Da’wah Messages on 15 August 2025 (Friday) at the Al-Quran Studio, PISM UMT.
This one-day workshop was held to provide participants with exposure to the basic concepts and potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in empowering methods of information delivery, community education and da’wah.
Among the main objectives of organizing this workshop are:
• To provide a basic understanding of AI technology and its role in daily life.
• To train participants in using AI applications such as ChatGPT, Canva AI, Text-to-Image and others to produce more creative and effective dakwah, education and social advocacy messages.
• To promote the ethical, wise and high-impact use of technology in community work and dakwah.
A total of 50 participants participated in this workshop and were guided by guest facilitator, Coach Salwa from Salam Pro Group Sdn. Bhd.
It is hoped that organizing this workshop will produce preachers and community activists who are more willing to utilize digital technology to expand the reach of preaching and education to all levels of society.
