Kuala Nerus, 10 September 2025 – A special meeting of the Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) Mosque Committee was held to review the latest developments regarding the replacement of new carpets at the UMT Mosque.
During the meeting, the committee was informed that carpet samples had been received for initial evaluation. The evaluation process focused on aspects of quality, durability, suitability with the image of the mosque, as well as the level of comfort that can be provided to the worshippers.
However, the initial review found that the carpet samples received still did not meet the original specifications and features of the order. Accordingly, the committee will continue to ensure that the evaluation is carried out carefully so that the selected carpet truly meets the standards and provides optimum comfort to the pilgrims.
The UMT Mosque management will continue to update developments regarding this matter from time to time as a sign of commitment to continuous improvement efforts for the well-being and comfort of campus residents and the local community.
