Kuala Nerus, 23 October 2025 – Sultan Mahmud Islamic Centre (PISM), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) was pleased to receive a visit from Sekolah Kebangsaan Tanjong Gading, Johor in the Informational Visit to UMT program held at the Al-Quran Studio, PISM.
A total of 32 students along with 5 accompanying teachers led by Cikgu Nurmazdiah binti Mahzan attended this visit which aimed to provide early exposure to primary school students about the learning environment at the university as well as foster an interest in the fields of science, marine and technology.
Apart from joint activities at the Al-Quran Studio, participants also had the opportunity to visit several important locations on the UMT campus including the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Library, the INOS Research Gallery, and the Cultural Heritage Digital Gallery. They also walked around the UMT Mosque area to learn about the role of the university mosque as a center for spiritual development and knowledge.
This half-day visit not only provides a hands-on learning experience in a university environment, but also introduces students to a variety of fields of knowledge and the fun atmosphere of campus life.
PISM UMT would like to express its deepest appreciation to Sekolah Kebangsaan Tanjong Gading, Johor for this visit. Hopefully, programs like this can be continued to strengthen relationships between educational institutions and inspire the younger generation to continue to love knowledge.
