The Foundation of Islamic Leadership for UMT Students is Built Through Strengthening Personality and Management

Kuala Nerus, 8 November 2025 – The UMT Student Islamic Leadership Camp Phase 1 organized by the Sultan Mahmud Islamic Center (PISM) was successfully held at the Al-Quran Studio, PISM.

This program is the starting point for the Islamic leadership development series for Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) students, focusing on aspects of activity management, character building, and understanding of the PISM organizational structure.

The ceremony began with an opening speech by the Head of PISM, Dr. Kasyfullah bin Abd Kadir, followed by a briefing session on the management of spiritual activities and personal development by Ustaz Muhammad Farhan bin Othman, Secretary of the UMT Mosque Committee. Also held was an explanation of the procedures for financial management of activities by Ustaz Mohd Syafiq bin Alias, Treasurer of the UMT Mosque.

Participants also had the opportunity to attend sessions with their respective wing advisors, who provided in-depth explanations on the responsibilities, roles and management flow of each club under PISM.

Throughout the program, the participants showed high enthusiasm and commitment, making this camp a good start in building the foundation of Islamic leadership with integrity, discipline and vision.

This program will continue with Phase 2, which focuses on practical leadership training and the formation of student identity.
