Jerteh, 13–15 November 2025 – The UMT Student Islamic Leadership Camp Phase 2 organized by the Sultan Mahmud Islamic Center (PISM) was held with great enthusiasm at Lata Kolam Air Deru Ecopark, Jerteh, involving the participation of the leadership of the Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) Muslim student community.
This three-day, two-night camp is a continuation of Phase 1 which was held in early November, and focuses on practical leadership training, character building and strengthening team spirit among participants.
As early as the first day, participants went through various modules such as Ice Breakers, Paintball Challenge, and Water Confidence, which emphasized elements of communication, strategy, and self-confidence. At night, they followed congregational prayers, Yasin recitations, and leadership motivational sharing by Dr. Kasyfullah bin Abd Kadir, Head of PISM, before continuing with the Night Walk activity that tested calmness and focus in the night atmosphere.
The second day saw the organization of Flora & Fauna Exploration/Survival, a nature-based module that tested physical and mental endurance while fostering teamwork. In the evening, participants had the opportunity to attend Night with Advisors, a relaxed yet meaningful session that strengthened the relationship between participants and PISM wing advisors.
The last day was filled with Mini Olympics, a team sports concept activity that highlights the spirit of leadership, strategy and collaboration in a healthy competitive atmosphere. The program ended with the Official Closing Ceremony officiated by Dr. Kasyfullah, who expressed appreciation for the commitment of all participants and called for the values of discipline, integrity and brotherhood honed throughout the camp to be translated into leadership on campus.
PISM is confident that this line of Muslim students will be the main driving force behind the culture of knowledge, manners and volunteerism, thereby leading the campus community towards a more prosperous and competitive atmosphere.
