UMT Hosts Terengganu State Level Hajj Course for Hajj Season 1446/2025

THE FIRST HAJJ COURSE 1446H BRINGING TOGETHER DHUYUFURAHMAN FROM ALL TERENGGANU

Kuala Nerus, 10 April 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) welcomes the presence of all prospective hajj pilgrims, dhuyufurrahman to the Terengganu state-level First Hajj Course 1446H/ 2025 M to be held at the Sultan Mahmud Islamic Centre (PISM), UMT on 11 and 12 April 2025. This program, organized by the Terengganu State Hajj Fund Board in collaboration with UMT, is the 4th consecutive time since 2022.

PISM UMT, through its leader, Dr Kasyfullah bin Abdul Kadir, said that they were always open to accepting offers of cooperation for the good of the ummah.

“The Sultan Mahmud Islamic Centre is a religious institution that is a centre for worship activities for students, staff and the public. The preparatory course for prospective Hajj pilgrims organised here also meets the needs in terms of facilities, space, comfort and being friendly to pilgrims.”

According to him, a total of 2,100 selected prospective hajj participants will gather at PISM to strengthen prospective hajj pilgrims’ understanding of the implementation of the hajj pilgrimage and provide the latest information regarding hajj management, both in the country and in the holy land.

“The program begins with a briefing that will be delivered by Tabung Haji. Prospective pilgrims are required to prepare the course requirements during the practical session, including ihram cloth, telekung, sack and 70 pebbles. In addition, other equipment such as prayer mats, mats and bottles for ablution purposes are also required,” said Dr Kasyfullah.

The practical Umrah worship course begins with Tawaf, Sa’i and Tahallul, while the practical Hajj worship involves standing in Muzdalifah, Mina and throwing the Jamrah as well as Tahallul Awwal and Tahallul Thani of Hajj worship.

Prospective pilgrims are given a simulation by practicing each movement in a specially prepared area to provide a clearer picture.

The opening ceremony of the Terengganu State Level First Hajj Course for the 1446H/2025M Season was officiated by YB Haji Hishamuddin bin Abdul Karim, Chairman of the Terengganu State Youth, Sports and NGO Development Committee.

UMT always welcomes the public to visit the mosque and is always open to cooperation. This program has not only provided an opportunity for UMT to support prospective hajj pilgrims but also provided an opportunity for UMT members to contribute their services as hajj volunteers.
