Valuable Experience of Aulad Wise Camp in conjunction with school holidays at UMT Mosque
A total of 45 children from UMT and the local community participated in the Bijak Aulad Camp which was held in conjunction with the school holidays for five (5) days from 19 to 23 January 2025 at the UMT Mosque.
With the theme Road To Ramadan, the participants gained valuable experience from the various activities that were carried out.
This time, the Bijak Aulad Camp was held to provide an opportunity for children from UMT and the local community to take advantage of the school holidays with interesting activities. Apart from that, this program is also held as preparation for the participants to welcome the month of Ramadan which will arrive soon.
FIRST DAY
On the first day, after the taaruf and ice-breaking sessions, to motivate participants to continue their enthusiasm, the program began with an introduction to the month of Ramadan entitled Muqaddimah Ramadhan, presented by Ustaz Muhammad Farhan Othman. The next session continued with the advantages of the month of Ramadan in the Madrasah Ramadhan slot presented by Ustaz Mohd Syafiq Alias.
SECOND DAY
On the second day, program participants were taken to explore the story of the first war in Islam, the Battle of Badr, which took place during the month of Ramadan. As a result of the story of this war, participants were able to learn many lessons from the struggle of the Prophet’s companions in defending Islam.
Apart from the academic content, this program also succeeded in uncovering the hidden talents of the participants through the activity of Designing the Ramadhan Infaq Fund. This fund was brought back by the participants to cultivate the practice of giving charity in their respective homes during the month of Ramadan.
No Ramadan celebration is complete without talking about the special night that is better than a thousand months, namely Lailatul Qadr. Therefore, the Spiritual Meal session titled The Power Of Lailatul Qadr was presented by Ustazah Faizah Ismail, inviting participants to ponder the verses of the Quran from Surah Al-Qadr.
THIRD DAY
The third day of the Aulad Smart Camp continued with challenging outdoor activities. Today’s participants interpreted the lessons of the Battle of Badr through archery activities, as if they were on a real battlefield. In this program, participants were also guided by Ustaz Naim Rafizi Rahman to memorize common verses in the Quran.
The excitement of the program is increasing with the Masterchef Cilik competition. Participants must prepare the most creative sahur menu with the ingredients provided.
FOURTH DAY
On the fourth day, the Islamic Civilization Park Mini Zoo was an option for a trip outside UMT for the camp participants. The excitement was clearly evident on each of their faces when they had the opportunity to get up close to animals of rare species. Participants also have the opportunity to socialize and get to know each other throughout the activity.
FIFTH DAY
Concluding the camp on the last day, Explorace Ramadhan was held as the closing event of this year’s Bijak Aulad Camp to provide recreational experiences around the UMT campus.
According to feedback from several participants, they were happy with the experience they had because this camp was full of interesting activities, they were able to meet new friends from various other schools, as well as fill the week-long school holiday at the UMT Mosque.
