KUALA NERUS, 21 October 2025 (Tuesday) – The Sultan Mahmud Islamic Centre (PISM), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) received a visit from 22 students and 2 accompanying teachers from Sekolah Menengah Islam Aman, Kelantan in the Scientific Visit to PISM-UMT program which took place at the Al-Quran Studio, UMT.
The visit, led by Puan Nur Damia binti Zaidi, aimed to expose students to new knowledge and experiences through information sharing and exploration of contemporary Islamic technology at PISM.
During the visit, the delegation was taken to explore the area around the UMT Mosque and was given an explanation of the role of PISM in spiritual development and Islamic studies at the university. The students also had the opportunity to visit the Digital Gallery of Cultural Heritage, which showcases a collection of interactive Al-Qurans based on Augmented Reality technology.
This program is hoped to instill students’ interest in Islamic knowledge and technology, as well as strengthen relationships between secondary education institutions and universities in strengthening the scientific and da’wah agenda.
